For Brandon Drost, a Blugold graduate and U.S. Army veteran, a chance encounter at a horse stable brought an opportunity for inner peace and healing that he didn't yet fully recognize he needed. He then set out to bring this program to other veterans.

The saying “if you can dream it, you can do it” is coming true for Greta Wiederhold and Kaitlyn Zenner, recent University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire graduates now working as English teaching assistants abroad through the Fulbright U.S. Student Program.

When Maisee Yang graduates from UW-Eau Claire, she will take with her a long list of goals that she hopes to accomplish during her future teaching career. An elementary education major with a TESOL minor, she wants to teach close to home but also abroad.

Amanda Flandrich's year studying abroad in Spain has given her new friendships, memories and an even greater confidence in herself and in her plans to pursue a career as an immersion teacher.
