Use your communication skills and your knowledge of accounting to help area community members with their taxes through the UW-Eau Claire Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. As a VITA volunteer you will interview clients, and prepare and file their tax returns. Not only will you feel great but you will also learn a lot and be able to use this toward service-learning requirements!

What is VITA?

VITA is a special program of the IRS and the Wisconsin Department of Revenue that provides tax-return assistance to low-income individuals and families at various sites on and off campus. For over 20 years, UW-Eau Claire students have participated in this experience.

Free 2023 tax return assistance

Available to taxpayers with 2023 incomes of $64,000 or less. Hours: Friday, 5:00-8:00 PM from March 8 - April 12, 2024 (except April 5). Located in the food court in Davies Student Center.
