Pursuing a degree in sociology at UWEC means you are getting an education that is truly one-of-a-kind, customized to match your needs. Our program has very few required courses and a large number of electives. This means you get to pick and choose which courses you want to take to best match your interests and career goals.

In addition to preparing us for jobs and our future, the sociology program here at UW-Eau Claire encourages students to understand every social encounter and interaction that goes on in the world around them. The professors are extremely helpful and they genuinely care about what they do!
