Political Science Honors Program

Looking to enhance your academics and get all you can out of your time here? Then look no further than the political science honors program. This program allows students to understand political science on another level through a challenging, yet rewarding senior thesis written during the second semester of senior year.
Eligibility
Majors with resident and total GPAs of 3.50 or higher overall and in political science, and the consent of the department. Senior standing is required. By the end of the second semester of the junior year, students must notify the department of their intent to seek departmental honors.
Current requirements
Comprehensive written examination taken at the end of the first semester of the senior year; senior thesis written during the second semester of the senior year. Students must register for POLS 496, during the semester that they write the thesis.
University Honors Program
In addition to the Political Science Department Honors Program, UW-Eau Claire has an award-winning University Honors Program. The University Honors Program gives students interested in pushing their learning limits a chance to participate in courses designed to do just that.
